Everton have started the season beautifully and will be looking to get their teeth back into club football now that the international breaks are over for the best part of 4 months.
On this current trajectory you would certainly be expecting Everton to be playing European football next season. Perhaps even a push for a Champions League spot could be on if they make the right moves in the transfer market this January.
With only one window under his belt as Everton manager, you would expect Roberto Martinez to be active again in January, as the process of shaping his squad continues.
The latest reports are linking Everton with yet another flying winger. The Guardian says that Everton are in a battle with Swansea City in an attempt to prise Portuguese winger Diogo Viana from Gil Vicente.
Swansea also like the look of the Gil Vicente winger Diogo Viana and so does their former manager, Roberto Martínez, leading to suggestions that Everton may fork out around £5m to get him.
The 23 year old, who has also had stints at Porto and Sporting, looks to have really matured over the last year or so and could be a fantastic, technically adept addition to this Everton squad.
There will be competition for this guy’s signature as he looks like a really good prospect. The draw of playing for Michael Laudrup will be strong but Roberto Martínez works at a club which will compete at the top end of the league this year. This could sway the player’s thoughts in the direction of Everton if a bid does come in.
Let’s see a player action and Everton fans does this guy boil your potatoes?
