Arsenal are believed to be in negotiations with AC Milan for young Italian International Stephan El Shaawary, according to reports.
El Shaarawy ended last year’s campaign as top scorer for the Italian giants, but has since found his place in the team to be less than certain.
It is rumoured that ‘secret talks’ have been held with Arsenal and Milan, and a £25 million bid is being readied, as part of the money Arsene Wenger has been promised by his board for January transfers.
If Arsene wenger does want to strengthen, he would naturally be on the lookout to increase his firepower with a striker to play either alongside Olivier Giroud or in place of him.
El Shaarawy will be desperate for first team action if he is to make the squad for Italy’s 2014 World Cup Finals campaign, and Arsenal could be the perfect move for the 20 year old. He has only started one league fixture this season, having fallen behind in the pecking order to Mario Balotelli, Robinho and Alessandro Matri.
El Shaarawy is the type of player who loves to run at defenders and has a powerful shot. In a recent article by The Guardian entitled ‘The 100 best footballers in the world’ El Shaarawy was voted as no.52. AC Milan legend Jose Altafini spoke of the young man stating,
“El Shaarawy reminds me of Neymar and Messi. They have a low center of gravity. They play with the ball glued to their feet. He has already proven that he’s a good player. The important thing is not to bulk him up too much.”
Arsene Wenger always seems excited about new young talent and we would imagine that he will get the best out of this player should he join in January.
Let’s see the lad in action. CLICK FOR EL SHAARAWY.
Arsenal fans, is there a chance Arsene Wenger could get carried away with attacking options and not focus enough much on the defensive frailties in the squad?

the problem is: it never fuckin happens…the rumors keep on rolling without gathering any moss…fuck knows what arsene wenger’s going to do. we’ve already lost two big games…some folks out there say we are only cradle snatchers, we’ve beaten all the weaker teams or so to say; and drew with west brom…who got a walloping from liverpool…and we are going to play this team coming Saturday…its these big teams we’ve got to prove against for any title chances…lets hope wenger won’t be scratching his french meatballs in the big games on the way….

When sag a plays cab he’s good. Playing there and not running as a winger will extend him for 5yrs. Our defence will be solid then. Our midfield is over run with mid fielders…. we could open a shop selling midfielders. Our attack is giroud. Watching videos of this boy he’ll looks perfect. He gets the ball , looks up to see the direction of the goal and then sets off at top speed. He jinks and bullies his way there and then places the ball home… he does not balloon it or hits the corner flag ……he places it. The boy is excellent. Get him !!!
