The rags are today reporting that Liverpool are planning to strengthen their spine in the summer by signing 2 Premier League stars who are also full internationals for their country.
Defensive Powerhouse
Despite his imposing frame and generally impressive performances in the Premier league, Micah Richards has been regularly frozen out at Manchester City and is arguably looking for a move this summer. He would surely be a decent acquisition for most clubs in The Premier League but Manchester City aren’t all that hot on him. Some have questioned his technique and finesse at the highest level. Liverpool are looking for a central defender and although Richards has regularly played on the right, he’s obviously adaptable and has experience through the middle also.
The Daily Star, no less, reports that Liverpool are interested in the player and will look to take him in the summer.
Striker
The second player reportedly on Brendan Rodgers’ ever lengthening shopping list is QPR striker Loic Remy. Remi has been impressive in an otherwise tragic QPR side this year and it was always reckoned that he would leave at the end of the season if The Hoops did get relegated. Tottenham are rumoured to be interested and they may still make a bid but Liverpool are apparently also looking at him as a potential addition to their forward line.
That pair would probably cost in the region of £20 million and we think they would be prove decent acquisitions for the Liverpool rebuild. Let’s have a look at Loic Remy in action.
