Liverpool to sign Premier League newcomer – report

Various reports suggest that Liverpool might be about to sign QPR striker Loic Remy. The forward, who has five goals in 10 appearances since joining QPR in the winter window, has been relegated with his club over the weekend and will be looking for Premier league action next season.

Liverpool are one of a number of clubs who are ostensibly interest in the player. Arsenal and Tottenham have also been part of the transfer speculation regarding the Frenchman in the last few months.

With such a high calibre of interested parties, Remi must be a good prospect. But considering Liverpool have Luis Suarez and Daniel Sturridge , Remy must be seen as a really dangerous weapon if Brendan Rodgers is preparing to part with Liverpool’s hard-earned. The club doesn’t have the limitless funds of others in the EPL and he must make his signings very carefully.

soccersweep isn’t exactly overwhelmed by the player – he does look fast but gets caught offside too often and sometimes his control lets him down.

But pace is a priceless commodity in this modern game and Remy certainly has enough of that give Liverpool an added dimension in the Premier league campaign next season.

For a reported release clause of £8m Liverpool will be looking to snap the player up this summer but, Liverpool fans, what do you think about this capture?

Is it the sort of calibre of signing that Liverpool should be aiming for?
