Chelsea

Chelsea to re-join hunt for Brazilian superstar?

So it’s all over the press today that Atletico striker Radamel Falcao could well be on his way to Manchester United. Sky have slashed the odds on him joining Manchester United to 5/2. Football pundit Guillem Balague has tweeted this morning that Manchester United ‘HAVE paid an advance as they did with de Gea’ .

Meanwhile The Telegraph is already discussing the ramifications for Wayne Rooney if Falcao does make the switch to Old Trafford. Other sources are reporting that Javier Hernandez will be used as a makeweight by Manchester United in the deal to snare the Colombian.

Chelsea close to completion

Noone actually really knows what’s going on until we get something official from the clubs or players. But Chelsea may well have fallen back down the queue to sign their long-term target and a player who could surely have completed the jigsaw at Stamford Bridge. If this is the case then they will have to look elsewhere for their next superstar striker. With all the talent in that squad it’s not going to take a revolution to get Chelsea motoring on every front next season. We think they simply need someone who can stick the ball in the onion bag. Lukaku will return and be a brilliant player for Chelsea. But if The Blues were to re-ignite their interest in another world star the fans would probably forget the name Falcao overnight.

Cream

Until recently, I hadn’t seen much of Neymar, save for a few drab performances at international level. I was wondering what all the fuss was about. There are a lot of talented youngsters out there but this guy was being heralded as the next saviour of world football. Then I saw this clip and realised that Neymar is the sort of player to make fans literally cream themselves. If Chelsea bought Neymar, who already has a goal scoring average of more than 1 every 2 games for club and country, everyone would want a ticket to see them play. Neymar has that, oh so rare blend, of sublime skill, lightning pace from a standing start and a superb eye for goal. It’s just scary.
