So it’s not quite the spending splurge that we have come to expect at The Etihad but Manchester City are closing in on a couple of new players before the window closes.
The highly celebrated Brazilian right back Maicon is reportedly close to a move to Manchester City to put pressure on, and possibly supersede, the incumbent Pablo Zabaleta. Many City fans are pleased with the Argentinian’s work over the last year or so but Maicon will certainly add class and cover in that area of the pitch. Micah Richards can of course play there too.
The long running transfer saga with Scott Sinclair looks also to be making progress. According to The Daily Mail, City have now made a bid of £6.2m and are awaiting a response. After signing Jack Rodwell a couple of weeks ago, Manchester City seem to be making a concerted effort to add Englishmen to their ranks. Like Rodwell, Sinclair may feel that his chances will be limited in an inordinately talented squad. But he seems keen on a move anyway.
So, City fans, do you think that Rodwell and Sinclair can make the grade at Manchester City?

It seems to me that City are building their future except for Mancion signings are young players who will learn from our established more experienced players .
