Manchester United to get yet another player?

The Kaka to Manchester United rumour seems to be gathering pace. Of course, your very own soccersweep reported this a fortnight ago, leading the way as usual.

There is no confirmed substance to these reports at the moment. A few bookies have slashed odds on such an occurrence, but there have been no official comments from Manchester United or Real Madrid.

Sir Alex is renowned for keeping his transfer cards close to his chest but he did say last week that he would look at one more signing if ‘a certain player’ became available. Well Manchester United have since signed Dutch left back Alex Buttner but one feels that this wasn’t who Fergie was referring to. As for Kaka, he is already available. Last week Jose Mourinho stated that the player could leave for the right price.

So, we will continue to speculate about whether the Manchester United boss will add another, right up until the end of the window. As reported last week, we think that Baines is completely off the menu due to age and cost issues. Furthermore, the incumbent Patrice Evra is still a different class to the Englishman.

But, if a cut price wage could be negotiated, we could easily imagine Fergie having a punt on Kaka. What does he have to lose by adding a former World Player of The Year to his ranks?

Or perhaps, with the current crisis at centre-back, Fergie should be splashing any spare cash on another defender.

What do you think?

It’s hard to swallow this story considering that we have bought V.Persie and Kagawa.
If it is a loan it will be another story.
The saying that says NEVER SAY NEVER is there to run the rule though !!!!
