Movement?

Well perhaps we can expect some movement in the market for Manchester United this month after all.

We have already reported this week on how Athletic Bilbao’s brilliant youngster Aymeric Laporte seems luke warm on the idea of coming to England.

But the latest reports suggest that a deal could be on. With Real Madrid also reportedly keen on the French man Manchester United are apparently moving quickly to snap him up.

Highly respected football journalist Guillem Balague has said that the player is actually happy to join Manchester United if his buyout clause is met:

“On Laporte. Buyout clause £31m. Athletic Bilbao, who expect an offer from MUFC, wont sell for less. Laporte happy 2 go if Utd pays full fee.”

Let’s be very clear on this. For those of you who haven’t seen Laporte in action, this is a signing to get very excited about. Just as Rio Ferdinand joined Manchester United a decade ago, to usher in ten years of success for the club, this deal could have a similar impact.

Manchester United could build a whole defence around this lad. He’s just 20 but already built like a house. But it’s not just his power which is impressive. It’s his ball control, passing ability and game intelligence that makes him such a valuable and expensive commodity already.

France and Manchester United can be very successful with Laporte over the next ten years and we think that he is well worth £31m. If Manchester United don’t swoop then another big club will before long. Real Madrid, for one, must surely be keen having seen him play in La Liga on a regular basis.

Let’s see the lad in action. Manchester United fans: A perfect January signing?

If man utd like let them sign, because their eyes will soon open when they didn’t qualify for champions league for the next time.
