Manchester United to finally do some decent transfer business – report

We have been obsessiong over the last few weeks about who Manchester United can bring in to improve the squad and make a decent fist of the fight for fourth place in The Premier League (how times change). Scores of names have been thrown around and Manchester United fans will hope that the business is conducted more successfully than it was in the summer.

But Manchester United can’t keep adding players without shedding a few too. Many believe that Manchester United also need to get rid of a load of dead wood this winter in order to reduce the wage bill and increase the overall quality.

To that end, it appears that some decent transfer business is about to be done. The Metro, among many other publications reports today that two perennially under-performing players are about to leave the club.

Manchester United are set to cut their losses and offload flop midfielder Anderson to Fiorentina.

Daniele Prade, Fiorentina’s director of sport, admitted his club were interested in bringing Anderson to Italy.

‘Anderson is a player we like,’ he said. ‘There is still time before January 31.’

The same source suggests that Nani could also be on his bike.

Fulham are trying to hijack Nani’s loan move to Sporting Lisbon as Bryan Ruiz prepares to take a medical which will rubber stamp a switch to PSV Eindhoven.

Nani is considered one of the fringe players unable to make a further impact at Old Trafford and Manchester United manager David Moyes is happy to unload him

Anderson was popular for a time amongst the Manchester United faithful but he’s never done the business on a consistent basis for Manchester United. The same can be said for Nani, who sparkled sporadically, but has gone from bad to worse this season.

Many Manchester United fans will hope that other under par players like Ashley Young and Tom Cleverley will also be shown the door to make way for some real quality to come in in their places.

Manchester United fans, who else would you like to see leave the club?
