Marvelllous

Tyler Blackett must feel like he’s living the dream right now. As it turned out the appointment of Louis van Gaal has worked beautifully for him. When he made up the numbers in the touring squad of America in pre-season he couldn’t have imagined that he would be close to the top of the charts in terms of Manchester United appearances come October.

Despite that sending off against Leicester, he has played with unbelievable composure for one so young and we think that he’s a real star in the making.

He must be absolutely loving life right now and he certainly seems to be enjoying working with some of the best players in the world.

The one that seems to have captured the imagination of the squad most is Angel di Maria. Signed for a club record £59.7m the Argentine has started his United career in sensational form and Blackett says that he’s amazing to watch in training. The Manchester Evening News quotes him as saying:

“He’s been amazing,”

“He’s one of the world’s best players and the things that he does in training really make us stop and stare.

“The dribbling, the close control, these are things that a lot of players would like to have, but that not everybody’s got. He really is special.”

Di Maria has 3 goals in just 5 games for the club. Most importantly he seems, more often than not, to score the crucial goal which opens up the opposition – he got the openers against QPR and Everton. His assists also make him one of the most valuable players Manchester United have signed in a long time.

If he can keep up this form he will surely be a contender for player of the season come May.

Let’s see some Di Maria magic in a red shirt.
