Wasted talent?

Juventus seem hellbent on returning to the top table of European football within the next couple of years.

They really have improved their squad no end in the last for five years and their plan for a return to pre-eminence is on track.

Juventus is once again the best team in Italy right now and they look as if they’re going to have a really good run in Europe next season, providing that they can hold onto their star players like Pogba and Vidal.

There have been a few wide men linked to Juventus already this summer and the latest is Erik Lamela of Tottenham.

As Juventus fans will know he was an absolute star in Serie A before moving to Spurs for £30 million last September.

But his time in England has been an abject disaster.

That’s not to say he’s a bad player but he simply didn’t fit into the Spurs system or the pace of The Premier League in his first season.

But he was still perhaps treated a tad unfairly by a club who didn’t seem to give him enough of a chance to gain confidence through playing time.

And reports today in England suggest that Juventus want to take him back to Italy this summer. The Daily Star says:

Tottenham braced for Juventus interest in £30m Argentine star Erik Lamela

ITALIAN giants Juventus are ready to bid for Tottenham flop Erik Lamela.

Tottenham have a new manager and may see things differently but we wouldn’t be at all surprised if Lamela moved on.

Lets take a look at the lad in action. Juventus fans: would you be excited by the signing?
