Arsenal: Boss has ‘held talks’ with agent of superstar

While there seem to be more number tens floating around than ever, it appears there is currently a scarcity of front men to put the ball in the net. Arsenal are a team that have plenty of the former and too few of the latter. Chelsea are another who are short of a striker in his pomp.

There is little doubt that Arsenal would be a better team if they did acquire another specialist goal scorer. Someone with an even more rounded game than Olivier Giroud. Someone who can play away in the football sense.

One player who has been mentioned again today in relation to Arsenal is Mario Balotelli. No smoke without fire on this one?

The Express goes as far as to suggest that talks have already been held between Arsene Wenger and the agent of Balotelli. It says:

ARSENAL will make a move for Mario Balotelli in the summer after Arsene Wenger held talks with the player’s agent this week.

Reports in Italy suggest that Balotelli has become frustrated with life in Milan and is now more determined than ever to move on.

If Wenger could harness the best of Balotelli then we could see him being a superb player for Arsenal. Someone who can do the dirty work as well as the deft stuff. A player who can offer a little more physical presence than what the squad currently possesses. And a player who can score a goal out of nothing which could make all the difference to Arsenal in the biggest games.

The big question, with this guy, is always whether you can tame the monster inside. Whether you can turn Balotelli into a Cantona. Few would be better equipped to do this than Mr.Wenger. And we always maintain that signing Balotelli is like having a bet on fa cup football. It’s a high risk strategy, due to the amount of variables, but it’s worth it for the thrills you have along the way!

Let’s see Balotelli in action.
