The Arsenal team to dismantle Munich – scoreline predicted

Arsenal line up vs Bayern?

It’s the big one. Arsenal fans can put aside any concerns/excitement about The Premier League for tonight at least. Because The Champions of Europe are in town.

The great thing about Arsenal is that, whilst they haven’t won the major trophies over the last few years, they can beat anyone on their day. They almost cuffed Barcelona in The Champions League two years back and they generally have a good record in Europe’s elite competition.

Arsene Wenger knows how best to prepare and pick his Arsenal eleven for games like this. The Frenchman always gives his team the opportunity to express themselves with relatively offensive formations.

But one player that we would really like to see in the team tonight is Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain. Three goals since his return from injury may be evidence that the youngster is starting to fulfil that amazing potential.

We think that this guy can be a game changer in what will be a close yet open encounter between Arsenal and Bayern Munich.

The Germans are on fire in the league and, improbably, look even stronger than last year. They work extremely hard but also have plenty of fairy dust in the ranks with players like Thiago Alcantara and Mario Goetze.

But we think that this is going to be a top night for Arsenal and that they will take a 2-1 lead back to Germany – if they choose a team to take the game to Munich.

So here is our XI

Arsenal (4-2-3-1): Szczesny, Gibbs, Mertesacker, Koscielny, Sagna, Wilshere, Flamini, Cazorla, Ozil, Oxlade-Chamberlain, Giroud

Predicted Score: Arsenal 2 Bayern Munich 1
