Manchester City finally have news on Gabriel Jesus

Months after agreeing his transfer with Palmeiras, Manchester City have finally been able to unveil the signing of Gabriel Jesus.

A bureaucratic hiccup meant the starlet was unable to make his debut against Everton, which has probably come as a relief to him after his new side were thumped 4-0 by the Toffees.

According to the Sun, though, he is finally set to make his bow in the Premier League this weekend against versus Tottenham.

The £27million signing isn’t expected to start, but he may well be introduced if City’s other attackers Kelechi Iheanacho and Sergio Aguero struggle like they did at Goodison Park.

Jesus scored 16 goals for Palmeiras having only made his debut in 2015, and has been dubbed the next Neymar in some circles – as promising youngsters from Brazil tend to be.

While his long-awaited entrance should happen this weekend, it’s important Pep Guardiola doesn’t allow it to distract from the real issue at hand – beating in-form Spurs, who have won their last six games in a row.
