Juve legend urges club to sell Pogba

Paul Pogba has now agreed terms on his proposed £100million move to Manchester United, according to Marca.

The Frenchman’s agent had warned that Juventus could still offer the player a new deal, but it appears he is now on his way to Manchester.

And Goal.com are reporting that the Italian champions may have been helped along the way in making their decision to sell.

Juve legend Gianluca Zambrotta has urged the Old Lady to cash in Pogba while they still can, as it will help them to strengthen their squad.

“I remember when I was playing with Juventus and Zinedine Zidane was there”, he said.

“They sold him to Real Madrid for a record fee and with this money they bought [Gianluigi] Buffon, [Lilian] Thuram and [Pavel] Nedved.”

Pogba’s price tag has caused lengthy debates around the football world, but if United are willing to pay it, then Juve can benefit.

Indeed, they have already been linked with Alexis Sanchez and N’golo Kante as potential replacements.

Reports that Pogba’s deal will see him earn £208,000 a week are yet to be confirmed, but that isn’t as high as some figures which have been suggested.

His performances at Euro 2016 left many United fans bewildered as to why they were about to break the world record fee, but Juve haven’t valued him at £100million without reason.

Pogba has been instrumental in their dominance of Serie A over the last few years.

And yet, as Zambrotta is keen to point out, that doesn’t mean he’s irreplaceable.
