Tottenham already planning raid for one of the signings of the season

Tottenham are already considering a move for Watford forward Richarlison, despite the Brazilian having only moved to Vicarage Road in the summer.

The 20-year-old has been making a huge impact in the Premier League, though he has courted his fair share of controversy too, notably for winning a penalty very dubiously in his side’s 2-1 win over Arsenal.

The Mirror report that Spurs scouts have been attending Hornets games with the intention of keeping tabs on the wonderkid, who has scored four goals in 10 starts so far this season.

Watford have been one of the surprise packages so far and they are determined to keep the group together – and that includes Marco Silva, who is being targeted by Everton to fill their vacant managerial role.

Richarlison cost just £11.2million from Fluminense, but his value has already rocketed during his short stay in England.

Mauricio Pochettino is keen to operate with another forward behind Harry Kane, where he has tried to accommodate Fernando Llorente. The former Swansea man, 32, is yet to get off the mark, which suggests Spurs could already start viewing younger alternatives.

Llorente had been getting over a broken arm and also was signed so late in the last transfer window that he could not play a pre-season before the Premier League season got underway. That is what has limited most of his appearances to substitutions and in a side that has yet to use his heading ability. He also brought with him a ton of big match- and international-experience. Whatever the merits of a young player new to the Premier League and at another club, it’s nothing to do with anything Llorente lacks.
