Anthony Martial has made a decision on his Man United future

Anthony Martial has been phenomenal in the early stages of the season.

The French international has had to compete with Marcus Rashford for a place on the wing but has still weighed in with five goals and four assists in all competitions.

The former Monaco starlet has evidently started to win Jose Mourinho over and reports had suggested he might even be attracting the interest of other clubs too.

The Manchester Evening News have given a fresh update on his situation, explaining that although rumours have surfaced linking the 21-year-old with Arsenal, he is perfectly happy at Old Trafford having only recently moved back into the city centre.

In January, he considered a loan move to Sevilla, but Mourinho must have valued him even then as he wasn’t willing to let him go mid-season.

It’s unknown whether he’s frustrated at his lack of starts this term, but his relationship with his manager certainly seems to have improved.

Mourinho told a recent press conference:

“I see a great improvement in the person, in the mood, in the face, in the body language.

“If you want just a word, in the happiness. He’s a happy guy, he’s working extremely well. He starts matches, he tries to do well.

“He goes from the bench, even if it is for 10 minutes like in the last match at home, he tries to enjoy and try to give something in these extra minutes. I am very pleased with his attitude overall and then it’s easier to play well.”
