Tottenham are still moving in the transfer market after wrapping up a deal for PSG full-back Serge Aurier.
Mauricio Pochettino has made the Ivory Coast international his fourth summer signing after Davinson Sanchez, Paulo Gazzaniga and Juan Foyth.
Sky Sports report Spurs are now in talks with Barcelona over Andre Gomes and they are confident of fighting off competition from West Ham.
Daniel Levy had expressed concerns over another of the Lilywhites’ targets, Everton playmaker Ross Barkley, because of his lengthy injury layoff which is unlikely to see him play until November.
Gomes, 24, is viewed as a more suitable alternative. Daily Mail reporter Sami Mokbel has suggested he will cost around £40million as long as he plays 60% of Tottenham’s games.
Tottenham should get Andre Gomes. Under terms of the deal Spurs will be obligated to sign him for £40m if he plays 60 percent of the games.

The Portuguese international would fill an important void in Spurs’ squad, as they are lacking game changers in attacking midfield even allowing for the return of Erik Lamela, who has been sidelined since last October with a hip problem.
