Daniel Levy is facing a mounting crisis over Tottenham’s wage structure.
Danny Rose broke ranks earlier this week in a pre-arranged interview with the Sun, and while the left-back has been fined two weeks’ wages, he isn’t the only one who has grievances.
That’s according to the Times, who suggest Spurs players are backing the England international and share his frustrations over pay and the club’s lack of signings.
It’s claimed Rose wants to join Chelsea or Manchester United if either club comes in for him before the end of the summer transfer window.
The Sun are corroborating these claims by suggesting he was given a hero’s welcome by the rest of the dressing room when he returned to training.
As it stands, Harry Kane and Hugo Lloris are the only players earning £100,000 a week or more.
Regarding signings, Spurs are the only side in England’s four professional divisions yet to bring in any new additions.
Levy has spent the summer insisting other clubs’ spending isn’t sustainable, but it appears not all of his employees are singing from the same hymn sheet.
