Liverpool are close to completing their next summer signing after a quiet few weeks.
The Telegraph report that Hull will accept an £8million bid for left-back Andrew Robertson, who only has a year left on his contract.
James Milner has been operating in place of Alberto Moreno for much of the season, and it certainly doesn’t bode well for the latter that Jurgen Klopp has now brought in a potential replacement.
It’s thought Robertson has been on the club’s radar for two years and they have chosen to snap him up following Hull’s relegation from the Premier League.
Milner performed surprising well as a stand-in, but with Liverpool re-entering the Champions League – as long as they get past the qualifying stage – their schedule will be much tougher next season.
While Klopp is generally trying to add depth to his squad, the same source suggest Lucas Leiva is on his way out of Anfield, as the Brazilian missed the 1-1 pre-season draw with Wigan to finalise a £5million move to Lazio.
