And amazingly, it appears that faith could pay off. The Sun claim the striker is so far ahead of schedule he could be playing football again in October – with United ready to offer him a new, short-term deal.
Romelu Lukaku is expected to be the Red Devils’ main man next season, but having Ibra around would still give the squad some invaluable experience.
