Nemanja Matic may have played his last game for Chelsea and could be set for a move to Manchester United, reports the Sun.
It’s claimed the Serbia international fears being sidelined by Antonio Conte, who is set to bring in Tiemoue Bakayoko from Monaco in his position.
Matic had an erratic season but he is still highly-rated by Jose Mourinho – though it has to be said that the pair didn’t always have the easiest of relationships while working together at Stamford Bridge.
A low point of Mourinho’s last few months before being sacked in December 2015 came when he substituted the midfielder just 28 minutes after bringing him on in a 3-1 defeat to Southampton.
United want a central midfielder to come in as a long-term replacement for Michael Carrick – though the source suggests Tottenham’s versatile Eric Dier is another option being looked at.
Juventus are also being linked with Matic, as he could form part of a swap deal for Blues target Alex Sandro.
