Emmanuel Adebayor could leave Turkish side Basaksehir after just six months and is attracting interest from the Premier League.
The Mirror report that the former Arsenal, Manchester City, Spurs, and Crystal Palace striker could join Swansea as part of a deal that would see Bafetimbi Gomis go the other way.
Gomis is expected to leave having been sent on loan to Marseille after failing to impress Paul Clement.
Adebayor has always courted controversy in English football, remembered by many for his overzealous celebrations in front of Arsenal fans after scoring against his old club for City.
By the end of his time at Tottenham, he was regularly booed and only last week, he said he had to do a Google search to find out who Crystal Palace were – adding that joining the Eagles was the “worst decision” of his career, per L’Equipe.
Clement would not be signing him for his popularity. However, perhaps the 33-year-old still has something to offer, having scored six times in 11 games for Basaksehir.
