Bayern Munich are continuing to search for a replacement for Franck Ribery, but they are looking at options other than Alexis Sanchez.
That’s according to German publication Abendzeitung, who cite the Bavarians’ frustration with the Sanchez deal dragging on.
The Chilean is still expected to leave Arsenal, but if he doesn’t join Bayern, Carlo Ancelotti has another Premier League target in mind.
Chelsea’s Willian is reportedly on Munich’s radar as they grow concerned by the longevity of their reliance on Ribery and Arjen Robben.
The Brazilian has only started 15 league games under Antonio Conte.
That has been partly brought about by circumstance, as he spent time away from Chelsea following the death of his mother, but he has also fallen behind Victor Moses in the pecking order.
The 28-year-old has scored 12 goals in all competitions this season. Yet, with Conte likely to bring in even more reinforcements this summer, there can be no certainty Willian’s situation at Stamford Bridge will improve.
