Man City confident of signing Spurs and Arsenal stars

Manchester City players are already convinced the club will complete the signings of Arsenal’s Alexis Sanchez and Tottenham’s Kyle Walker this summer.

That’s according to the Mirror, who suggest Pep Guardiola will be given £100million to land the north London duo.

Spurs and Arsenal must be thinking carefully before selling to one of their main title rivals, but City players believe the pair’s personal circumstances will see them move to the Etihad.

It’s thought Sheffield-born Walker is growing homesick and would like to return to the north of England, while Sanchez is enjoying life in the Premier League. That means the Chilean could snub the likes of Bayern Munich and Paris Saint-Germain, leaving City as one of the only clubs able to pay his wages and satisfy his demands.

As for Walker, while he has always been a key instrument in Mauricio Pochettino’s side, he was dropped for several big games in favour of Kieran Trippier towards the end of the season, sparking rumours of a falling out with the manager.

City will do well to land either one of their two targets, but if their players think the deals are all but done, that could be a revealing insight.
