Kylian Mbappe isn’t the only Monaco star Arsenal are targeting

Monaco look likely to cash in on their young stars after missing out on the Champions League final.

Leonardo Jardim’s side are still on course to win Ligue 1, but their incredible season has brought to prominence several of their most important players.

Of course, Kylian Mbappe continues to draw attention to himself and is set to receive a host of offers this summer.

Arsenal are one of the many clubs rumoured to be interested in the 18-year-old, though it appears they are first going to target one of his team-mates.

The Mirror report that Thomas Lemar is near the top of Arsene Wenger’s wish list.

The former Caen midfielder played alongside N’Golo Kante at his old club, and Wenger will be hoping he can have a similar impact in the Premier League.

The fact that it is Wenger – who has strong links with Monaco – identifying targets is another indication that he will be in charge next season, regardless of whether Arsenal make the Champions League.

A 2-0 win over Southampton on Wednesday night has definitely improved their chances, but Wenger will still be expected to make significant changes to his squad after a disappointing campaign.
