Cesc Fabregas is expected to end a season of frustration with a move away from Chelsea this summer.
The Spain international has made just 10 starts in the Premier League this term but has impressed on the fringes of Antonio Conte’s side.
The arrival of N’Golo Kante from Leicester pushed the former Arsenal and Barcelona man down the pecking order, and he could find himself even further out of Conte’s thinking if the Blues sign Tiemoué Bakayoko from Monaco.
According to the Sun, if Fabregas wants to stay in England, his two options are firstly Manchester United, and now Liverpool after Jurgen Klopp declared an interest.
Of course, the 29-year-old is well acquainted with Jose Mourinho having played under him at Stamford Bridge. United are likely to pursue a creative central midfielder this summer, but they will face competition from Liverpool, who are reportedly concerned that Philippe Coutinho could join Barcelona, as per the same source.
Fabregas has raised his family in England and would like to stay in the country, which seems to rule out a possible switch to AC Milan, Bayern Munich, Atletico Madrid, or the Chinese Super League.
