Claudio Bravo remains determined to prove himself at Manchester City despite a disappointing debut season.
The goalkeeper has produced a string of errors since replacing Joe Hart, and has himself been ousted by Willy Caballero on a number of occasions.
Yet, Goal report that the Chilean has decided he is going to stay at the Etihad rather than cut his losses and move elsewhere.
Were he to quit City, he’d go down as one of the worst stoppers of the Premier League era, so it’s understandable that he wants time to rectify that.
His position as a former Barcelona goalkeeper means he is still held in high regard by some European clubs, but he is set to knock them back if they come calling in the summer.
It remains to be seen what effect, if any, that will have on City’s own plans. Sunderland’s Jordan Pickford and Benfica’s Ederson are reportedly on their radar, and Bravo’s decision is unlikely to stop them from pursuing either one of them.
