Harry Winks is set to undergo another scan on Monday afternoon after suffering a freak injury in the win over Burnley.
The England hopeful was one of Spurs’ brightest players in a difficult first half at Turf Moor.
However, just minutes after Victor Wanyama had been forced off, the 21-year-old looked in a very bad way.
Winks attempted to challenge Stephen Ward but went flying into the drinks crate, seriously hurting his ankle.
It’s still not clear what the extent of his injury is, but he was given oxygen at pitchside and was rushed to hospital moments later.
Whether it’s a break or damage to the ligaments is yet to be determined, but Mauricio Pochettino has confirmed he’s almost certainly out for the season.
The Spurs boss was speaking to the press ahead of Wednesday’s trip to Swansea City.
Take a look at what he had to say on Winks below:

It’s a bitterly disappointing end to what has been a promising season for Winks. Indeed, many Tottenham fans will have been delighted to see him earn a rare start.
The challenge will be for him to pick up where he left off when he recovers.
