Leicester are set for more upheaval as they prepare to lose Riyad Mahrez this summer.
The question is whether the Algerian will be all that much of a loss after a thoroughly underwhelming campaign in which he seems to have forgotten how to run.
After winning the PFA Player of the Year and helping the Foxes to the title last season, the playmaker committed his future to the club – but that was before they found themselves embroiled in a relegation battle.
It remains to be seen whether they’ll continue their revival against Hull City, but it may well be too late to convince Mahrez to stay regardless.
In that vein, Leicester scouts have been watching Basel’s Mohamed Elyounoussi, it’s claimed by the Daily Mail.
The Norway international, 22, has five goals and an assist in his 12 league appearances this season, so it’s no wonder he’s being tipped for big things in the future.
Most of Mahrez’s best performances have come in the Champions League, though that’s true of Leicester of a whole.
The club won’t be bracing themselves for the multiple raids they experienced last summer, but Mahrez is one player who could finally be on his way out.
