Man United have made a decision on Daley Blind

Manchester United are set for another busy transfer window this summer by all accounts.

While the majority of Red Devils fans will be preoccupied with who might be coming in, the summer will also represent Jose Mourinho’s first real opportunity to axe some of his unwanted players.

Memphis Depay left for Lyon in January, but several others could follow him out the door.

Luke Shaw, Chris Smalling, and Wayne Rooney all face uncertain futures, but it appears the club have at least made a decision on Daley Blind.

According to the Sun, the Dutchman has run out of time to impress Mourinho and is unlikely to be offered a new contract, with his current deal expiring in 2018.

Blind has played 29 games this season but that may be only because United have had so many injuries at the back.

Eric Bailly and Chris Smalling have both had long spells on the sidelines and Mourinho seems to have little faith in Shaw, and that has allowed Blind to fill in both at centre-back and at left-back.

Marcos Rojo has surpassed him in the pecking order, though, so it could be time for him to quit the Premier League, with Italy the most likely destination.
