Liverpool are still waiting to see when Dejan Lovren will be able to return.
The centre-back was key to the Reds’ title push in the first half of the season but has suffered a knee injury that has kept him out of their last two games.
He last featured in the 1-1 draw with Chelsea.
Ragnar Klavan has been filling in for the Croatia international in the meantime, but Jurgen Klopp would ideally like Lovren back as soon as possible.
The Liverpool boss was hoping to have the defender in training this week, but he has instead been sent to Germany to see a specialist, as reported in the Mirror.
That doesn’t suggest he’ll be back anytime soon, and so he’s likely to miss next Monday’s game against struggling Leicester City.
Lovren’s injury isn’t thought to be serious, but as he’s a vital part of the Reds’ set-up, he could be key to their top-four challenge.
Lucas Leiva could play at centre-back again versus Leicester.
