The uncertainty surrounding Arsenal right now means making summer transfer plans is incredibly difficult.
It’s still unclear whether Arsene Wenger will be staying on, though there is thought to be a new contract on the table should he wish to sign it.
There’s also the question of whether Alexis Sanchez and Mesut Ozil will need replacing, as both have just over a year left on their current deals.
However, in spite of all this, it seems the club have still managed to identify one player as their number one target – the man in question is Napoli star Lorenzo Insigne.
The Sun report – via journalist Nicolo Schira – that the 25-year-old has caught the Gunners’ eye with his nine goals this season.

To many fans, this may be frustrating as while Insigne is undoubtedly a huge talent, the supporters have been pleading with Wenger to sign an out-and-out striker.
Insigne is versatile, but it’s unclear where he’d actually play for Arsenal – up front, just behind the striker, or on the wing.
It doesn’t bode well for Ozil’s future either if Arsenal are genuinely prioritising Insigne’s signing.
The Italian scored in Napoli’s 3-1 win over Chievo this weekend, with scouts from the north Londoners watching on.
