Bacary Sagna is almost certain to leave Manchester City this summer with no prospect of a new contract on the horizon.
Given that he’ll be available on a free transfer, the French international should have no problems finding a new club, especially with a CV featuring Arsenal and City.
However, despite playing for those two giants, he’s never actually won the Premier League.
All the same, it’s quite possible he’ll be staying in England.
Le10Sport report that Everton have now joined West Ham in the race for the full-back’s signature. Olympique Marseille are also interested, hence the French publication’s interest in the defender.
Marseille would have been able to speak with the 34-year-old in January, as with just six months left on his contract, he was permitted to talk to foreign clubs.
It appears negotiations are yet to be opened formally, though, and that should happen in the coming weeks.
Sagna has been confined to a bit-part role at the Etihad under Pep Guardiola, making just 13 appearances in the league.
