Last season, Georges-Kevin N’Koudou and Michy Batshuayi were the attacking force that kept Marseille in Ligue 1.
Both were snapped up by Premier League clubs, Tottenham and Chelsea respectively, and neither has had much joy since crossing the channel.
Batshuayi’s plight at Stamford Bridge is well-known, but N’Koudou hasn’t received nearly as much attention.
Yet, whenever the 21-year-old has featured in the cups for Spurs, he has made a big impact.
Surprisingly, despite his ability weaving in from the wing, it looks like Mauricio Pochettino will look for another attacking midfielder in the summer.
If that happens, there seems little chance that N’Koudou’s fortunes in north London are going to improve.
The Sun have therefore revealed that a move to French side Nantes is on the cards, with the Lilywhites happy to cut their losses on the £11million signing.
Nantes was his first club, and if he doesn’t settle in England soon, a move back to Ligue 1 could be just what he needs to resurrect his career.
