The bizarre phenomenon that is Emmanuel Adebayor’s career appears to have taken another turn.
With Togo having failed to reach the quarter-finals of the Africa Cup of Nations, the striker has been hunting for a new club, safe in the knowledge that few sides in Europe would be willing to take a risk on him.
Most players boasting a CV of playing for Tottenham, Arsenal, Real Madrid, and Manchester City would be in huge demand, but after last season’s poor stint at Crystal Palace, ‘Manu’ has proven once again that he is a rare exception to most football rules.
Goal report he is now on his way to Turkish club Istanbul Basaksehir, where he was pictured undergoing a medical:

The 32-year-old’s quest for a new employer hasn’t been helped by his participation in the AFCON as it made him unavailable for much of January. He was also linked with a move to Ligue 1 side Lyon.
