Dimitri Payet is still determined to force his move to Marseille despite the Ligue 1 outfit failing to come to an agreement with West Ham.
The two clubs are at loggerheads over the 29-year-old’s price tag, with the Hammers holding out for £5million more than his former employers are willing to offer.
Slaven Bilic revealed in a press conference earlier this month that the playmaker was essentially on strike and refusing to play for him again.
That led the Croatian to drop Payet to the under-23s, with whom he has been training ever since.
However, the Daily Mail have it that he’s now even refused to play for the reserves, despite the fact it’s far from guaranteed that he’ll be able to leave the London Stadium.
Marseille aren’t even 100% committed to signing him and are considering moving onto other targets, but it’s difficult to envisage any way back for him at West Ham.
The club rewarded him with a £1million loyalty bonus last year, but the way he’s treated them in return hasn’t gone down well with anyone, not least the fans.
Bilic is wary of involving him anyway because any injury he might sustain could lessen his value, but his latest gesture of defiance could just deter Marseille even further.
