Manchester United are on the hunt for a new winger despite Jose Mourinho’s insistences that he’s overloaded in that position.
At least, that was his official reason for selling flop Memphis Depay to Lyon.
However, the Dutchman is set to be joined in Ligue 1 by one of United’s targets, Goncalo Guedes, who according to beIN Sports will snub the Red Devils and move to Paris Saint-Germain instead.
The Benfica midfielder was left out of their matchday squad at the weekend, suggesting a move could be imminent.
PSG’s sporting director Patrick Kluivert is thought to have been the clincher in tempting Guedes to the Parc des Princes.
The midfielder, rated at around £25million, has scored seven goals this season in the Primeira Liga, so Unai Emery could even employ him in attack alongside, or even instead of, Edinson Cavani.
Emery is determined to revamp his squad after such a disappointing start to his tenure left the champions third in the table behind Monaco and Nice.
The Parisians have already signed Wolfsburg’s Julian Draxler, who was previously linked with Arsenal.
