Granit Xhaka is denying allegations that he racially abused a member of staff at Heathrow Airport, reports Goal.
On Monday night, reports began to emerge that the Arsenal midfielder had voluntarily spoken to police about the incident.
It’s claimed that the Swiss international was angry after his fiancee’s brother was late for a flight and was not allowed to board, and he then called a member of staff a ““f****** white b****”.
The 24-year-old is already in Arsene Wenger’s bad books after receiving another red card – his ninth in his last three seasons – against Burnley and he will now have to discuss this latest alleged misdemeanour.
Sources close to the player insist he denies the incident and several members of his family are now set to arrive in England as a show of support.
Xhaka will be suspended – due to his second red card since joining Arsenal – for this weekend’s FA Cup game away to Southampton at St Mary’s.
