Mamadou Sakho is still struggling to leave Liverpool after the club rejected the opportunity to send him out on loan.
Sky Sports are reporting that Southampton have had an offer rejected, despite Jurgen Klopp’s desire to get rid of the centre-back.

The Reds’ frosty relationship with the Saints is set to continue, as their transfer dealings only appear to go one way.
Adam Lallana, Sadio Mane, and Nathaniel Clyne have all moved to Anfield from St Mary’s in recent years, but Claude Puel could really do with something in return now.
Centre-backs Jose Fonte and Virgil van Dijk are both being linked with moves away, with the former having handed in a transfer request.
Liverpool do have one major concern in defence as Joel Matip is currently unable to play due to his unclear international situation with Cameroon, but that is still unlikely to allow Sakho back into the fold.
The Frenchman has been banished to the reserves this term after falling out with Klopp in the summer over a range of disciplinary issues, so it certainly comes as a surprise that he isn’t being ousted at the first opportunity.
