Adnan Januzaj’s time at Manchester United looks to be up as he has not done enough to force his way into Jose Mourinho’s thinking.
The winger has been spending the season on loan at David Moyes’ Sunderland, swapping a top four challenge for a relegation scrap.
Yet, just as he did at United, the 21-year-old has blown hot and cold.
Mourinho needed convincing that the Belgian was the calibre of player he needed to build his project at Old Trafford, but he now seems to have made up his mind.
The Sun report that United are therefore plotting to ditch the youngster in the summer, and are so keen to get rid of him they are willing to almost half his asking price.
While Januzaj was previously rated at around £15million, the club would now be happy to sell for £8million to get him off the books.
Ligue 1 side Lyon – who are also thought to be chasing Memphis Depay – are the favourites to sign him, but at that price, he could also turn the heads of a few other clubs around Europe.
