Liverpool may be bracing themselves for offers for Philippe Coutinho, but it also seems they face a fight to keep hold of Adam Lallana.
A report in The Times suggests Barcelona and Juventus have joined the race for the 28-year-old, who is already a target of Paris Saint-Germain.
While the Reds are hoping to tie him down with a contract extension in the coming months, the summer could bring fresh interest, especially if he keeps up the fine form which has seen him score seven goals and provide seven assists this season.
This isn’t the first time the England international has been linked with a move away, but in December, he revealed his plans to stay at Anfield.
“I love it here at the minute, especially since the manager has come in,” he told the Sun.
“We have each other’s trust and you don’t always get that at clubs. The thought of leaving Liverpool has never entered my mind.”
Even so, the fact he speaks Spanish and has a Spanish grandfather means Barca’s reported interest is bound to cause a stir.
Lallana’s thought to be worth at least £40million, but he’s pretty invaluable to Liverpool’s attack.
In previous years, a move to Barca or PSG might have been even more appealing, but with the Parisians third in Ligue 1 and the Catalans in the same position in La Liga, ironically it could be Liverpool who hold the best hope of becoming champions this year.
