And while that may be frowned upon, Spurs midfielder Mousa Dembele admits he can see the appeal, especially for older players.
“It is a very difficult choice,” he told Het Nieuwsblad.
“For young players who are still growing, it is not wise to go. For older players maybe it’s different.
“But honestly I have no idea about the level of the championship there. It is hard to say.”

Spurs duo Harry Kane and Dele Alli are among the numerous Premier League stars rumoured to be attracting interest from China, but as Dembele suggests, it would be incredibly risky for any players under 25 to nail their colours to the mast so early on in their careers.
