Claudio Bravo put in yet another questionable performance between the sticks as Manchester City beat Burnley on Monday.
If any more evidence was needed that Pep Guardiola is feeling the pressure, his post-match interview was another reminder of just how much work he has on his hands at the Etihad – and the Chilean’s hapless goalkeeping isn’t helping matters.
Bravo must be pleased that predecessor Joe Hart has at least been banished to Serie A, but the bad news is that the Torino stopper could be on his way back to the Premier League.
That’s only going to bring further comparisons between the two, and it’s pretty clear who comes out on top most of the time.
Despite all this, it doesn’t seem like Guardiola wants to change his mind. Hart may have been key to City’s two Premier League titles, but the Sky Blues are still planning to boot him out in the summer.
It may be because he’s now 29-years-old, or even due to the dip in his reputation since the Euros, but he could be available at a low fee of just £15million.
That’s according to the Times, who also point out that his contract expires in 2018 – hence why he’s going on the cheap.
The major stumbling block is his wage packet of £100,000 a week, as that’s the main reason he won’t be staying on at Torino.
Chelsea, Liverpool, and Everton have all been keeping tabs, but at £15million, there could well be other clubs willing to offer him a route back into English football.
