Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang reportedly subject of insane bid from China

Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang’s future has been up for speculation for as long as we can remember.

The Gabon striker’s exploits at Borussia Dortmund – which include 20 goals already this season – have made him the target of numerous clubs, most prevalently Manchester City and by all accounts, his preferred choice, Real Madrid.

It seems the BVB star is keen to continue proving himself in Europe, which is why he should have little interest in the latest offer reportedly coming out of China.

Neither club has confirmed the rumour, but it is being stated in the usually reliable Gazzetta Dello Sport.

The Italian publication have it that Shanghai SIPG, the very same club who bought Oscar from Chelsea just a few weeks ago, are to offer Dortmund the grand sum of €150 million euros for his services.

On top of that, they are willing to pay the player €41m-a-season in wages, which is pretty incredible.

What SIPG may not have reckoned with is that Aubameyang is now heading to the African Cup of Nations for the next three weeks at least, so it’s going to be very difficult to get a deal over the line – that is, if Dortmund were ever willing to entertain the idea of letting their main man go to a league of such questionable quality.

It’s thought the Bundesliga outfit might be more willing to allow him a transfer if it is to his dream club Madrid, so you’d have to imagine they’ll rebuff these offers from the Far East if they are true.
