Manchester United seem to be growing increasingly desperate to get rid of Memphis Depay.
Jose Mourinho initially tried to welcome him back into the United fold upon his arrival, but the Dutchman’s performances have been such that the Special One simply can’t justify giving him game time.
The winger still has suitors, though, with Everton keen to take him to Goodison Park.
The only real obstacle standing in the way of that deal is that United were previously asking for £25million, a fee the Toffees were reluctant to pay.
Now, the Red Devils have changed their stance and are even willing to make a loss on the midfielder Louis van Gaal signed just 18 months ago. According to the Mirror, they’ll now accept half of their initial asking price.
The 22-year-old has only started one game all season and that came in the EFL Cup against West Ham, so United may feel they can no longer ask such a high fee if they want a deal to happen quickly.
