Arsene Wenger has a major injury worry ahead of United trip

Few Premier League managers are overly keen on the international break, and it’s easy to see why.

Arsene Wenger is the latest boss who will no doubt be feeling irked after news emerged of Alexis Sanchez’ injury.

The Chilean has sustained a “low-grade muscle tear”, per the Mirror, and could subsequently be ruled out of the Gunners’ trip to Manchester United in a fortnight.

Wenger has already expressed his concerns about the month of November – having already dropped two points against Spurs.

Arsenal’s title bid has traditionally started to derail at this time of year, and an injury to their star man is the last thing they need.

The attacking midfielder has already scored eight goals this season, form which is likely to see him rewarded with a new deal.

The club need to show ambition if they are to keep hold of both Sanchez and Mesut Ozil, but they need them at their best if they are to sustain their title hopes.

Wenger’s side currently sit just two points behind the top spot.
