Claudio Bravo hasn’t exactly made things easy for Pep Guardiola since his arrival at Manchester City.
The former Barcelona stopper was brought to the Etihad to replace Joe Hart because it was thought he had better distribution, but he has made a series of howlers since.
Hart’s performances at Torino, meanwhile, suggested Guardiola had perhaps made one of the more questionable decisions of his glittering career.
It’s even been put about that Hart could return to City and resurrect his Premier League career next season, as he is only on loan in Serie A after all.
Yet, as is so often the case, Guardiola will be feeling rather smug after watching a Hart howler against Inter Milan.
The England international tried to get his body over a through ball, but completely messed it up, gifting it to Mauro Icardi, who of course found the back of the net.
Inter won the game 2-1, so Hart’s disaster proved particularly costly.
Take a look at it here:
Bravo hasn’t exactly been faring much better for City, and his method of passing it out from the back hasn’t been paying dividends either. At this rate, though, Guardiola won’t be too worried that he’s made the wrong call.
