Tottenham are already attracting plaudits for their defensive work this season, but it looks like they could be about to get even better.
The Mirror report that the Lilywhites are keen to bring in Lyon starlet Emanuel Mammana, who has made a huge impression in Ligue 1 since joining from River Plate.
The centre-back would fit in well at White Hart Lane, where he could join two compatriots in Mauricio Pochettino and Erik Lamela.
Mammana may be just 20 years old, but he already looks very promising, with Pochettino knowing all too well what it takes to be a top centre-back in France having plied his trade with Paris Saint-Germain in his playing days.
His latest target already has one cap for his country at senior level and has just two years left on his current deal.
The same report suggests a number of clubs in Italy and Spain are also monitoring the situation.
