Tottenham fans will feel like all their Christmases have come at once after the latest update on Harry Kane’s injury.
When the striker was stretchered off having scored the winner in the 1-0 win over Sunderland in September, it was feared he could be out for up to ten weeks.
However, according to the Sun, his most recent scan went well, and he is now on course to come back three weeks ahead of schedule.
Mauricio Pochettino has confirmed his ankle is “better than expected”, though his side have managed to keep up their goalscoring prowess even in his absence.
Of course, Spurs won’t want to rush their star man – but that means he could feature in the North London derby at the Emirates next month.
Kane has a great record against Arsenal, scoring four goals in his last four games against them. It’s not just bad news for the Gunners, either, as last season’s Golden Boot winner will no doubt be wreaking havoc across the Premier League as soon as he returns.
